😳 Man City set a phenomenal Premier League record in the first half against Newcastle

Manchester City may be without some of their stars, but they continue to set records across the Premier League and were at it again this afternoon.

The Premier League champions were the second best team in the first half hour against Newcastle United, without Eddie Howe's side really threatening Ederson in the City goal.

But that didn't seem to faze them and the visitors took the lead with their second shot on goal as Joško Gvardiol shot inside before finding the far corner with a sophisticated finish to give his side the lead.

It was City's 32nd consecutive Premier League game to score against Newcastle, more than any other team has scored against any other team in the competition's 32-year history.

It could have been two by half-time, but İlkay Gündoğan confused his lines as he tried to deny Nick Pope, who was caught well outside his goal.

No Rodri, no problem so far!
