Four Powerball tickets worth $50,000 each were purchased in New Jersey for Wednesday's lottery drawing.

The third-prize Powerball tickets, each equal to four numbers plus the Powerball, were sold at the following locations:

  • Duncan Grocery Store on Duncan Avenue in Jersey City, Hudson County
  • 7-Eleven on Lakeside Boulevard in the Landing section of Roxbury, Morris County
  • Acme on Lake Street in Midland Park, Bergen County
  • 7-Eleven on Fort Dix Street in Wrightstown, Burlington County

No one across the country hit the $274 million Powerball jackpot on Wednesday, bringing the top prize for the next drawing on Saturday to $295 million with a cash option of $147.9 million. Two second-prize tickets worth $1 million each were sold for Wednesday's drawing – in Indiana and Illinois.

Wednesday's winning numbers were: 1, 2, 21, 37 And 43. The Powerball was drawn 21 with a power play by 3X.

In addition, no one won the second jackpot of $10 million on Wednesday. These winning numbers were: 39, 44, 45, 46 And 66. The Double Play number drawn was 13.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who purchases a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance of matching five numbers and at least 1 Million $ to win, while the odds of winning a third prize are 913,129 to 1 or at least $50,000.

Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
