Atlanta Braves News: Season ends, offseason begins, more

Well, that wild card series was pretty emblematic of the Braves' entire season. Losses due to injury were clearly felt, they were unlucky with the batted ball, the order was poor, runners were stranded and they didn't score enough runs. This season wasn't what it could have been for such a talented club, but that's how it is sometimes. Nonetheless, this team should be in really good shape for next season. Shortstop and the starting rotation will likely be in the spotlight this offseason as Orlando Arcia hasn't had an impressive season and the Braves will likely say goodbye to franchise heroes Max Fried and Charlie Morton.

Diamond Sports suggested that the Braves would only move forward on their current agreed-upon deal, which would leave 11 teams in transition.

Brian Snitker has every intention of making it next season and is apparently pretty excited to do so.

The Braves lost Game 2 of their wild card series to the Padres 5-4, ending their unhappy season.

The Brewers came from behind to beat the Mets, sending the series to a winner-take-all Game 3 finale.

The Tigers defeated the Astros, broke Houston's ALDS streak and secured a date with the Guardians in the next round.

The Royals beat the Orioles in an incredibly low-scoring series and face the Yankees in the ALDS.
