A longtime makeup artist and stylist to Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks claims that the “The Thunder Rolls” singer brutally sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions in a highly graphic lawsuit filed today in Los Angeles.

“Brooks took what he believed was an opportunity to introduce a female employee to a side of Brooks that he was hiding from the public, says the complaint from the jury trial of financially struggling Jane Roe as the country superstar began 2019, making her stronger “This side of Brooks believes that he has a right to sexual satisfaction when he wants it and that using a female employee to get it is fair game.”

Given the reports of repeated “painful and traumatic” rapes, assaults and other assaults, “fair game” is an understatement in a record so graphic that at one point it mentions the actions of multiple Grammy winner Brooks, who ” to mention here” was dirty.

Jane Roe's lawsuit seeking unspecified damages comes as Brooks himself, under the guise of a John Doe, went to federal court in Mississippi a few weeks ago to stop the so-called “fabricated lawsuit.” The stadium performer claimed that if Jane Roe's allegations were made public it would cause “significant, irreparable harm” to his reputation and livelihood.

In fact, that bridge now appears to have been crossed, as Jane Roe, represented by Wigdor Law, is challenging the Brooks lawsuit in her own lawsuit.

“Brooks' abusive Mississippi action is a blatant attempt to further control and victimize his sexual assault victim by using his multimillionaire resources to outsmart the legal system,” states Jane Roe in her complaint about the singer's original action, ” while she pretends to be in discussions with Ms. Roe to resolve her legal claims against him.”

Jane Roe's filing continues: “Brooks is desperate to prevent his millions of fans from knowing about the terrible things he said and did to a young employee who did nothing to deserve such treatment.” But “Our legal system is unable to allow wealthy perpetrators to bypass victims of sexual assault who seek to hold perpetrators accountable.”

Representatives for Brooks have not responded to Deadline's request for comment on the sexual assault allegations. If so, this post will be updated.

Jane Roe's lawyers had something to say beyond their client's detailed complaint

“We applaud our client’s courage in moving forward with her lawsuit against Garth Brooks,” attorneys Douglas H. Wigdor, Jeanne M. Christensen and Hayley Baker said in a joint statement when Jane Roe’s complaint was filed with LASC on Thursday.

“Today's complaint shows that sexual predators exist not only in corporate America, Hollywood, and the rap and rock 'n' roll industries, but also in the world of country music,” the trio added. “We are confident that Brooks will be held accountable for his actions, and his efforts to silence our client by filing a preemptive lawsuit in Mississippi were nothing other than an act of desperation and attempted intimidation.” We encourage others who may have been victimized to reach out to us as no survivor should suffer in silence.”
