The Pittsburgh Steelers are still in the market for a wide receiver and the New Orleans Saints might have simply passed up on the perfect option for Pittsburgh if they were lucky enough to sign him.

New Orleans waived second-year prospect AT Perry in 2023 despite a strong finish to his rookie season. Perry finished last season with 12 catches for 246 yards and 4 receiving touchdowns. Perry started three games in New Orleans.

But his inability to work his way up the Saints' depth chart made him expendable.

Perry is a huge target at 6-foot-3 and a long wingspan. Perry ran a 4.47 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine and is a big runner. Perry played his college football at Wake Forest and was selected in the sixth round by the Saints.

Pittsburgh has gotten very little production out of its wide receivers other than George Pickens and is rumored to be interested in trading for Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams. However, that shouldn't stop the Steelers from submitting a waiver claim for Perry, who has great potential.
