Sturgill Simpson announces benefit concert in North Carolina

Sturgill Simpson has announced a benefit concert on October 21st at the Koka Booth Amphitheater in Cary, North Carolina. All proceeds go to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund.

Simpson was scheduled to play ExploreAsheville.com Arena in Asheville, North Carolina on Monday, October 21 as part of his 2024 fall tour. However, the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene caused Simpson to cancel the show. He will now play two nights instead of just one at the Koka Booth Amphitheater near the state capital. Fans who purchased tickets to the Asheville show through Ticketmaster will automatically receive a refund; Simpson plans to reschedule the show for a later date.

Tickets for Simpson's North Carolina benefit show in Cary will initially be available through pre-sales at a local venue, beginning Thursday, October 10th at 10:00 a.m. ET. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 11th at 10:00 a.m. EST via the venue's website.

Simpson is currently in the midst of his 2024 fall tour, which includes upcoming stops in Oklahoma City, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, New York City, Nashville, Washington DC, Toronto and Boston, as well as a headlining slot at the Austin City Limits Festival this month.
