The 10 Best College Football Games of Week 6: Time to find out if Mizzou is a paper tiger? Real-life 'Hot Rabbi' criticizes Netflix series 'Nobody Wants This' for negative Jewish stereotypes in open letter

This summer, Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Despite playing a very small role and even being DNP for three games, Haliburton and Team USA won the gold medal.

Since the Olympics ended, fans have been told some interesting stories. Haliburton spoke primarily about numerous recruiting discussions among players. The Wisconsin native admitted that some players tried to recruit him to their NBA teams, but made it clear that he has no intention of leaving the Pacers.

Even now, almost two months after the Olympics ended, we're still being treated to some funny stories. Only this time it comes from basketball legend and current Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, who shared a great anecdote about Haliburton.

During Lakers Media Day, James revealed that some of his Team USA teammates made fun of his age, calling him “Old Head” and “Grandpa.” More specifically, the 39-year-old named Haliburton and Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards as the players who teased him the most.

“Ant-Man, definitely, Tyrese Haliburton, those guys were following me around all summer, calling me Old Head and Grandpa, things like that. “You probably saw a little bit of my gray hair coming out in my beard all summer,” James said.

“I looked like a real grandpa… But the young guys on the Olympic team gave it to me, man. It was all fun. It's great to be with young people. They gave me energy and I tried to give it back to them.”

Of course, this sounded like it was just in fun and not a legitimate conflict between James, Haliburton, and Edwards. Still, it's a fun story that sheds a little more light on Haliburton's personality.

Since joining the Pacers a few years ago, Haliburton has embraced his role as a star. However, he has done so in more ways than one – both on and off the pitch.

In recent months, Haliburton has appeared on WWE television and is a regular guest on ESPN's “Pat McAfee Show.” He has proven his charismatic personality and is becoming a household name for his activities beyond the NBA court.

After James shared his experiences with Haliburton as a teammate for a short time, it's clear that the Pacers guard is genuinely likeable and a player fans can be proud of.

Off the field, James and Haliburton seem to have great respect and admiration for each other. On the pitch, however, it could be a different story.

The Pacers and Lakers fought a heated battle last year in the final round of the NBA Cup, then known as the in-season tournament. Los Angeles defeated the Pacers to become the tournament's first winners. Now, almost a year later, it will be exciting to see if the two teams meet again in the NBA Cup or possibly even in an intense duel in the NBA Finals.
