Dillon Gabriel and Jordan James led No. 6 Oregon to a 31-10 win over Michigan State Watch footage of Asheville, North Carolina, before and after Helene's devastation

“When he retires, no one would have appreciated his greatness. I'm glad I'll be one who made it,” Anthony Edwards said of LeBron James. Not long ago, the two, along with Anthony Davis, were brothers in arms and led Team USA to gold at the Paris Olympics. And now they are opponents again at the start of the new NBA season. However, fans don't seem to have gotten over the camaraderie yet as they are demanding a new trade to the Los Angeles Lakers.

In Paris, James & Co. had a dominant campaign, winning every single team that faced them. It was almost as if the world was witnessing the greatest basketball team of all time. And they were even affectionately called them “Avengers.” Speaking of the French experience: King James said, “It felt great to play meaningful basketball. Literally playing at the highest level, you know.” For a player to make a statement like that despite a 21-year professional ball career, it really meant something.

A few days after that statement at Media Day, LeBron James had the opportunity to take another look. Before the Lakers' season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the superstar met Anthony Edwards in the middle of the court at Acrisure Arena along with Anthony Davis.

When the video clip of the trio teaming up in the middle of the pitch surfaced online, fans' comments erupted in a variety of ways. A common thread was the Lakers' trade. One fan wrote without hesitation: “Ant is a future Laker” and the fan, another fan, wrote: “All three of them on one team soon.” The important point here is that fans didn't expect all three players to play for the Lakers. As rumors mount about LeBron's disinterest in the Lakers, let's take a moment to appreciate the trio together.

In Paris, James started the game while Ant-Man and AD came off the bench in the second unit. Hands down, James had the best performance and won the MVP award. Meanwhile, Davis and Edwards were the role players, handling defense and offense respectively. But whenever the trio stepped onto the court at the same time, it was pure magic, a blend of athleticism, shooting ability and color dominance.

Another fan even predicted the Lakers' trade timeline, saying: “Teammates in a few months.” However, for a player who recently signed a five-year deal worth $244 million, it's virtually impossible to do so before December 15th. Edwards, in particular, occupies a crucial spot in the Wolves' lineup and he can't let him down. On the other hand, another fan wrote: “Ant to the Lakers 2025.” This could be a possibility if the current roster doesn't perform well without Karl-Anthony Towns. But what do you think of the fans' suggestion? Let us know in the comments.
