If Iowa State football fans didn't know Jaylon Jackson, they certainly will after the Cyclones' game against Baylor on Saturday night.

The senior backup running back dominated the Bears, matching career-high rushing yards (107 on 15 carries) while also scoring his first two touchdowns with the program.

The Burelson, Texas, native transferred to ISU in the offseason after playing two seasons at Eastern Michigan, where he had 734 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

However, he spent his first two college seasons at Lamar. There, Jackson managed 529 yards and three scores in two seasons.

Although Jackson led the Cyclones' rushing attack, he was only one piece of the puzzle. Fellow backup Carson Hansen also had a big night, rushing for 97 yards on 15 carries, while starter Abu Sama II struggled to get going (8 carries, 17 yards).

Jackson set career highs in both rushing yards (15) and rushing yards (107) at Iowa State while also scoring his first two touchdowns as a Cyclone.

Entering the game, Jackson had 33 carries for 188 yards in four games, with his role increasing with each successive outing.
