San Jose Sharks forward Danil Gushchin had five assists and Ethan Cardwell scored the game-winning goal in their final opener to make the opening squad.

Ethan Cardwell had a solid game before scoring the game-winning goal. Luca Cagnoni and Collin Graf assisted on the Sharks' first goal. Jack Thompson had some strong moments and showed off his excellent slap shot.

Gushchin hit another Gushchin shot to equalize, tying the game for the fifth time and giving Gushchin four assists.

Cardwell scored the game-winning goal as the Sharks scored two empty-net goals and another after the game was tied for victory in regulation time.
