Commanders 34-13 Browns (Oct. 6, 2024) Game Recap Caleb Williams has his best game as the Bears earn an easy win over the Panthers

A 15-game home winning streak that began in 2022 after a loss to Idaho was snapped Saturday afternoon when the Grizzlies lost to Weber St., 55-48.

The loss is tough enough, but the stats show a much more concerning trend for the Montana Grizzlies defense. In their first two games of Big Sky Conference play, the Griz have given up a total of 104 points. For the second week in a row, the Grizzlies allowed more than 500 yards of offense, which is simply not a recipe for success, regardless of how well the offense plays. The Griz also scored 5 touchdowns of 35 yards or more on the day.

Speaking of offense, Montana once again had plenty of success thanks to the sturdy arm of Logan Fife, who is becoming more comfortable in this offense every week. Against Weber he managed 344 yards and 2 touchdowns. One of those scores came with 59 seconds left in the game when Fife found Keelan White in the end zone for a three-point lead.

But like most of the day, Montana allowed Weber into field goal range in 56 seconds, and the Wildcats tied it. A Weber touchdown and Montana fumble would seal the deal as Montana lost its first conference game of the year.

Alex Hoffman has full highlights of the game above.
