MIAMI – Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been removed from the physically unable to perform list and is expected to play Sunday against the New England Patriots.

Beckham spent the first four weeks of the season on the PUP list after undergoing knee surgery this offseason. He signed with the team in May but trained for the first time this week. The three-time Pro Bowler was able to practice fully for three straight days without any setbacks, but was listed as questionable for Sunday's game.

The Dolphins released quarterback Tim Boyle on Friday in what was seen as a move to make room for Beckham on their 53-man active roster. Miami re-signed Boyle to the practice squad on Saturday and elevated him to the active roster for Sunday's game.

Beckham's return provides much-needed reinforcement to a wide receiver room that has struggled to both produce and stay healthy. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle each passed for 200 yards this season, but no other Dolphins receiver has rushed for more than 30 yards in four games.

Beckham said he's excited about the pressure Miami's entire offense is under as it tries to stop a three-game losing streak.

“The pressure is the reason I got into this game. It was never done to get attention,” Beckham said earlier this week. “I don’t feel like there’s any extra pressure on me – I feel like it’s the same for everyone in this building. We have to get going, we have to start making plays. The defense played great, the offense is our time.”

“It’s not a time to panic, but it’s definitely time to have a sense of urgency.”

Also returning to the Dolphins' lineup this week are left tackle Terron Armstead and cornerback Kendall Fuller, both of whom missed last week's game with concussions. However, safety Jordan Poyer will miss Sunday's game with a shin injury.
