Saturday Night Live Newcomer Jane Wickline stole the spotlight from Colin Jost on this week's “Weekend Update” by delivering a satirical ditty that examined Generation Z's attitude toward partying.

After Jost presented a statistic detailing that 71% of young people are going out less, Wickline appeared with a keyboard and sang the aptly named song “Party,” in which she described a night out that isn't quite right it seems .

“Host couple goes upstairs, they go crazy at the event,” sings the lead actor, also describing how the overhead light has come on and the DJ has packed his things.

“I’m the plus of someone who’s gone,” Wickline sings in the hook, as Jost assumes the party is actually coming to an end. When he tries to interrupt her, Wickline quips, “I plan on singing some more.”

The song continues as Wickline well overstays her welcome until 6 a.m. and the party rolls over to the next morning when a second group of “guests” – the mailman (“that must be the stripper”) and a dog handler – enter.

“I was told the police are on the way – more strippers!” Wickline sings happily.

Ultimately, the song modifies its chorus with lines like “I'm the plus-one of someone's plus-one who doesn't know the host that well either” and “I'm the plus-one of the plus-two.” of the plus-three of the host's landlord who left” and “I'm the plus one of someone I made up.”

Elsewhere in the segment, Jost and co-host Michael Che joked about the election, with the former saying, “In just 30 days, this whole nightmare will be far from over.” Meanwhile, Che joked about Donald Trump's refusal to release his medical records : “I bet I know what he's hiding, but I can't keep it quiet,” he said.
