Although she didn't provide an explanation for sharing the post, online users were curious that the message might have something to do with the backlash Brittany has received since seemingly dropping her support Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election campaign.

In August, Brittany faced some backlash after liking a post on Instagram that showcased Trump's campaign platform, leading many people to assume she was expressing support for the former president.

The situation naturally sparked a flood of rumors, including speculation that Brittany's political leanings could be affecting her relationship with her friend Taylor Swift.

While Mahomes and Swift definitely support the same team in football, they appear to be on different sides in the upcoming presidential election.

Taylor, 34, publicly supported the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris Last month, she posted her support on Instagram after the Harris-Trump debate on Sept. 10.

Since then, many have wondered if there was a rift in Taylor's relationship with Brittany, especially after they didn't sit together at the first Chiefs game of the season.

But Taylor and Brittany have apparently proven that politics won't get in the way of their friendship, as they were spotted hanging out together at the US Open last month.

None of the women have publicly discussed their political differences. But Brittany's husband addressed the situation at a press conference in September, emphasizing, “I think at the end of the day it's about me and my family and how we treat other people.”
