Bruins announce Opening Night roster for 2024-25 NHL season – NBC Sports Boston NLDS Game 3 Chat: Phillies vs Mets, 5:08 p.m

This was another great win last weekend. There are many areas to be concerned about, but that is part of the process of a long season. I can't understand why some people get sensitive when others say Sam Darnold was gone or that the special teams need work. You can offer this observation and enjoy the game at the same time. Multitasking!

Should the Vikings be the top-ranked team in the league or do these rankings not matter?

NFL Power Rankings Week 5: Will the Chiefs or Vikings be the last undefeated team?

2 Minnesota Vikings 5-0

We'll see how well the Jets win, but we can put it in the quality win category for now. That's four impressive wins in a row for the Vikings. The offense wasn't great, but that was against a strong defense. No team has looked more complete this season.

NFL Power Rankings Week 6: Experts battle up-and-coming Vikings for No. 1

Matt Johnson, Sportsnaut: No. 1 (no change)

Johnson: “The Minnesota Vikings are coming into the game a perfect 5-0 and coming back from London. That’s the most important thing for Minnesota right now. The big question going into this game, however, is Aaron Jones' injury (hip). Minnesota's offense looked lifeless without its Pro Bowl running back, somewhat reminiscent of what happened last season when Kevin O'Connell had to give up a non-existent running game. Jones’ missing time would be a major blow to the Vikings’ offense.”

According to this one NFL stat and 14 other wild stats from Week 5, the Vikings could have a shot at the Super Bowl

Through the first five weeks of the season, the Minnesota Vikings appeared to be the best team in the NFL.

The undefeated Vikings have been so dominant that they went just 3-26 overall through the first five weeks of the season, and if NFL history is any indication, the Vikings could soon be headed to the Super Bowl.

Since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970, only five other teams have made it into the first five weeks of the season with a deficit of 4-30 or less, and ALL FIVE of those teams eventually made it to the Super Bowl with three of them to win it.

Here's a look at the list (via ESPN Stats and Information):

1. 2009 Saints (zero seconds behind in first five weeks): Won the Super Bowl

2. 1984 Dolphins (1:07 tracked): Lost Super Bowl

3. 49ers 2023 (1:45 behind): Lost Super Bowl

4. 1999 Rams (2:30 behind): Won the Super Bowl

5. 2024 Vikings (3:26 dragged): TBA

6. 1998 Broncos (4:23 behind): Won Super Bowl
