The Flames have been outstanding so far en route to a 4-0 record and have started to gain some ground in the US LBM Coaches Poll. They may not be ranked yet, but they are definitely on the radar of NCAA coaches. FIU wasn't so lucky, entering the first week of C-USA play with a 2-3 record, which included losses to FAU and Monmouth.

Of course, nothing matters until conference play begins. If the Panthers can end Liberty's short winning streak, FIU could make some noise in C-USA.
