NO, Dancing with the stars will not air a new episode on Tuesday, October 1st. ABC canceled it as a precaution to accommodate the vice presidential debate between Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) and Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), which airs on CBS at 9 p.m. The debate is the last before the November 2024 elections.

ABC postponed the episode, originally scheduled for October 1, to the following week. Dancing with the stars continues with a special two-day event on Monday, October 7th and Tuesday, October 8th. Monday's theme will be Soul Train Night, while Tuesday's dancers will rock out to hair metal music.
