“Best film of 2024” with an almost perfect film score on “Rotten Tomatoes” lands on Netflix

A blockbuster sequel that has been dubbed the “best movie of 2024” has arrived on Netflix and has really excited fans.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die – also known as Bad Boys 4 – hit screens this summer, with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprising their roles as legendary Miami Police Department detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett.

They ably led a star-studded cast alongside Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Tiffany Haddish and Ioan Gruffudd, while Adil and Bilall served as directors.

The film received rave reviews from avid fans and currently holds a high score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 65% from critics.

Netflix's US bosses confirmed that the film has now been released on the platform and the first three films are also available to watch.

Basically the dream movie marathon…

A tweet from the official account said: “Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah did not come to play.” “Bad Boys: Ride or Die is now on Netflix!”

However, Bad Boys: Ride or Die only appears to be in the US version, with the rest of the franchise still available to stream in the UK at the moment.

Fans couldn't help but rave about the sequel on Rotten Tomatoes, with Sharetta K raving: “The best movie I've seen in years!!!!!!!!!”

Ryan R wrote: “Best movie of 2024. It's very funny, mostly very serious, the action is great, I love the family situations.”

One anonymous reviewer agreed: “You can NOT go wrong with a Bad Boys movie, mmm!!!!” This will probably be THE movie for a few years until they maybe make another one.

“There are no buts or nos! It's a MUST WATCH (sic).'

“Old school bad boys,” Tudor C shared. “This movie gave me Bad Boys 2 vibes.” Yes, please, more of that. “We need more entertaining films like this and less of what has happened in the last four years.”

Joel G added: “This film had humor, emotion and non-stop action.” It was really a good film. A film I would like to watch again.'

The original Bad Boys film was released in 1995, the second flick followed in 2003, while the third release – the controversial title Bad Boys For Life – was canceled in 2020.

The fourth film premiered this summer and picked up right where the last one left off: Mike revealed his secret son, while he and Marcus also got to the bottom of a conspiracy surrounding Captain Howard's death

The official synopsis reads: “This summer, the world's favorite bad boys are back with their iconic mix of fast-paced action and outrageous comedy, but this time with a twist: Miami's finest are now on the run.”

Bad Boys: Ride or Die is now available to stream on Netflix.
