Dancing With The Stars fans furious over 'creepy' Gene Simmons: 'Worst guest judge ever' Mega Millions tickets cost more than twice as much

BANGOR, Maine (AP) — Republicans Donald Trump confused Democratic Gov. Janet Mills' gender in a phone call with supporters in Maine, The Bangor Daily News reported on Tuesday.

The newspaper obtained a recording of the call in which Trump attacked Mills over immigration and said the governor would turn Maine into a “third world” country. Trump tried to motivate voters on Monday, the first day of early voting in the state.

Trump referred to the state's first female governor as “he” several times and accused her of wanting to “relocate 75,000 migrants” at the behest of the Biden administration. “He's weak and ineffective, and they told him to do this and he says, 'Yes, sir.' Yes, ma'am. “I will do it,” Trump said, referring to Mills, who is serving a second term.

The Conservatives have put together an economic plan for 2019 that calls for this increase the number of staff by 75,000, with the governor last year setting up a separate office for new Americans, portraying it as only looking for foreign-born people.

Mills referred to Trump's opponent, Democrat Kamala Harris, in a brief response to

There was no immediate response from the Trump campaign.

Maine is important to Trump. The state is one of two states that apportion electoral votes by congressional district, and Trump won a single electoral vote in the state's 2nd Congressional District in both 2016 and 2020.

Trump also merged two different parts of the Gulf of Maine — a 277-square-mile (717-square-kilometer) disputed “gray zone” near Canada and a 5,000-square-mile (12,910-square-kilometer) national marine monument that he opened to lobster fishing as president. The “grey zone” is the subject of a long-standing territorial dispute, while the national marine monument lies far offshore – too far for most lobster fishermen to use.

“The Canadians can fish there, but the Americans can’t. We’re going to open it,” Trump said. “You’ll have Maine lobster, right near you. Imagine, 5,000 square miles.”
