Steve Harvey shares his story about his big break at Apollo

In 1991, Steve was homeless, but he had a dream. He wanted to get into show business. He knew without a shadow of a doubt that God was calling him to entertainment.

Steve Harvey had the ability to make people laugh. After months of living in his car, he was ready to give up. He was at the end of his strength when God intervened. On a Facebook page called “Motivated,” Steve Harvey tells his story and remembers praying, “Come on, God. I tried to make this dream come true.” And you left me out here like that.

He said God answered and told him, “If you get up, I will take you places you've never been before.” Then God sent Steve on a journey and a deep lesson in faith. Steve called home to check his answering machine when he learned he had been offered a spot on the Apollo show in New York.

He was immediately devastated because he had no way to get from Florida to New York with only $35 in his pocket. He was completely devastated. As Steve was about to call Harvey back to say he couldn't make it, he noticed there was another message. So he checked that too. He was amazed to learn that God literally provided a way to get to New York with a $150 comedy gig.

Trust in God's timing

Steve Harvey decided in that dark moment to trust God one step at a time. Even though he didn't know how it would turn out, he gave his dreams, burdens and worries to God.

He did so well that night that the comedy club invited him to another show and paid him another $150. Now he had the means to make it to New York. He was able to book a flight for $99.

Isn't that incredible? Just when you think you're stuck and there's no way out, God pours out His blessings and multiplies them.

When Steve made it to New York, he became an overnight sensation. God opened doors, provided a path, and fulfilled Steve's dreams. It was the beginning of his career as a television presenter and comedian.

Steve Harvey tells his story and says it was his “comeback moment.” He said: “Everyone has a moment of upheaval. It is the moment when you can either move on or give up everything. There is a guarantee: if you give up, it will never happen. Faith is everything. God is always on time, He is never late.” “

God always comes, He is never late and He is always on time. Faith is absolutely everything.
