British rapper and online personality Yung Filly has been charged over rape allegations in Australia.

Real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, he is best known for his work with the YouTube collective Beta Squad and has hosted shows on BBC Three.

He was arrested in Brisbane on Tuesday and extradited to Perth the following day to attend a court hearing.

Barrientos, 29, was arraigned on Thursday and his bail application was approved. His representatives have been contacted for comment.

The total charges include four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of obstructing a person's normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to or on the neck.

He allegedly brought a woman in her 20s with him to his hotel room when he performed at Bar120 nightclub in Perth last week.

The attack is said to have taken place on Saturday, September 28th.

He was represented in the Perth Magistrates Court by barrister Seamus Rafferty SC, who applied for bail on behalf of Barrientos.

The 29-year-old, who has been touring Australia with his music, has also appeared in the UK on Soccer Aid on ITV and The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up 2 Cancer on Channel 4.
