David Peterson held the fort until the ninth when Edwin Díaz entered. He walked the first two batters he faced, and with a two-out, Kyle Schwarber walked to the plate for the tying run. Díaz hit him with a 101 mph fastball to win the series and send the Mets to the NLCS.
