Nebraska Rivals writer Tim Verghese said his colleague Steve Marik was at the Omaha airport this morning to catch a flight to Chicago, where he also saw Micah Mazzccua at the airport but boarded a flight to San Francisco.

For those of you who don't know, Micah Mazzccua was the starting player for Nebraska at the start of the season, but has not played since then due to a coach's decision, meaning it was not an injury.

There were hopes that he was working on getting back into the good graces of the staff, and Matt Rhule even hinted that he was moving in that direction.

The most positive explanation is that he simply wasn't named to the 74-player roster for the Purdue game yet and wanted to see family or friends this weekend. However, Huskers.com states that his hometown is Philadelphia, PA.

The most negative explanation is that he may no longer be on the team.
