If you've been on Facebook lately, you've probably noticed a plethora of posts dedicated to daughters in honor of National Daughters' Day on Wednesday, September 25th. Now it's time to hear it from the boys.

Saturday September 28th is National Sunday. However, if you think we've already done that, you're right! National Sons Day occurs about twice a year, the first time in March.

Why the double dip? Here's what you should know.

Why are there two National Sons Days?

The first National Sons Day takes place on March 4th every year. According to The Economic Times, Jill Nico declared March 2018 as National Sons Day to encourage meaningful conversations between parents and sons.

Some blame social media for the doubling as a quasi-holiday, as the two dates emerged in the age of influencers, some of whom chose March to celebrate while others chose September. NationalToday.com also refers to both dates as National Sons Day. No matter what day you choose to celebrate, give your sons a gift sometime this year.

September 25th is the only National Daughters' Day.
