'Just a great human being': Joel Embiid, Adam Silver, Pau Gasol and others react to the death of Dikembe Mutombo Verizon customers are reporting widespread outages with cell phones limited to SOS mode

Pittsburgh Steelers second-year offensive tackle Broderick Jones went for X after Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Jones, who is not very active on social media, clapped back at several fans for criticizing his performance against Indianapolis.

“Come on take my place, let's see what you got my boy,” Jones said to a fan, who deleted his first tweet.

“😂lol bro, do you even know about football?” Jones said in another response to a fan.

One fan wrote: “Broderick Jones looks more like a bust with every single snap.”

Jones replied: “Lol you don't know anything about football I'm sure.”

In total, Jones fired off nine tweets to X's fans. Most of it was lighthearted banter.

Jones reacted completely differently in Denver when he was benched, taking responsibility for committing three penalties in six snaps that killed a drive.

“Shit, I played bad,” he told reporters. “That’s all it is at the end of the day. If you mess up, you get pulled.”

“They took me in the first round for a reason,” he added. “I never lost trust and I don’t feel like they lost trust in me.”

Jones was selected by the Steelers 14th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Georgia. After a solid rookie season, Jones struggled mightily this season. A right elbow injury could be the reason for his subpar play, but he has definitely taken a step back.

One thing is clear: This is the first time Jones has faced adversity in his NFL career. He probably didn't have to deal with much adversity in Georgia or in high school.

It seems the fan base is getting under Jones' skin by calling him a bust. For Jones, it's best to just stay off social media and tune out the noise. The way he handled adversity in Denver is the better approach.
