JR Smith welcomes his first baby with actress Candice Patton

Team Swish is growing as proud parents JR and Candice announced their new addition on social media with adorable pictures. The former Cleveland Cavaliers star posted the exciting news on Instagram on Saturday amid precious pictures of the bundle of joy.

Ahead of the shared post with JR, Candice posted photos and a video of her new baby's blessing on Friday. The carousel included shots of the bundle of joy in the arms of his baller baby daddy.

“Son in virgin. Born at home. The heart now beats outside my chest. Forever in love,” she wrote in the caption.

JR Smith is still married, years after his estranged wife exposed his affair with Candice

According to Page Six, JR is still married to Shirley “Jewel” Smith, who revealed his swish affair with the actress in 2019. The estranged couple married in 2016 and had two daughters together, Dakota and Denver. The affair allegations began after JR and Candice appeared to flirt together at a Halloween party in Las Vegas.

Months later, Jewel confirmed the romance rumors by publicly praying for her husband and his new boyfriend Candice.

“God, I want to lift my husband up and ask you, Lord Father God, to please just cover him with your blood,” she said. “In the mighty name of Jesus, I ask you to go to him where he is and shake him up, God. You shake him up and you shake him up. . . I ask that wherever he is broke, you fix him (and) heal him.”

“My husband is in pain and Candice is in pain. . . For her to go out of here, Father God, and find a married man, I just pray that You give her grace and mercy in all of this,” she continued.

It wasn't all fun and games for the professional player, who said he had a “tough” Christmas that year afterward. However, he clarified on Instagram that he and Jewel were “separated for months” before the rumors of a romance with Candice.

“No weapon has been formed against me. IG is not a place for relationships!!” JR wrote about IG stories in 2019.

It seems like the couple is keeping their new relationship private, but are happy to share their new addition with others.
