The Tennessee Titans face the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football and look to get their first win of the season. Despite the hope that they can bounce back against the Dolphins, they will do so without quarterback Will Levis – at least for now.

Levis was trying to get a first down in the first quarter when he flew past a Dolphins defender. Levis fell hard on his shoulder and was immediately taken out of the game.

Levis didn't pick up the first down and the Titans would eventually start their next offensive series with backup quarterback Mason Rudolph under center. Levis was given the questionable obligation to return.

Levis has struggled all season and leads the NFL with nine turnovers. Just before the injury occurred, Levis threw an interception that ended up in the hands of Dolphins edge rusher Emmanuel Ogbah.

The Titans have placed a lot of faith in Levis, who came in for Ryan Tannehill during the 2023 season. Despite being a rookie, Levis started in nine games and performed respectably. He rushed for 1,808 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions in limited time.

The Titans opted not to draft a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft, instead focusing on more protection for Levis. JC Latham was selected at No. 7 overall with hopes that he could be an immediate impact player. Latham is the team's starting left guard.

Levis and the Titans have had a rocky start to the 2024 NFL season. So far, the team is 0-3 and has lost to the Chicago Bears, New York Jets and Green Bay Packers.

The Titans are arguably the worst team in the NFL right now, and Levis' loss could cause even more problems on the offensive side. Rudolph is certainly a proven veteran in the league, but there's no telling if he can lead the team to some much-needed wins.

Another loss for the Titans to MNF will put them even further behind in the AFC South and the entire AFC. The Titans had hoped to ease their postseason woes by firing Mike Vrabel and moving Tannehill, but the team appears to be in worse shape now.

Currently, Rudolph has led two field goal drives. It remains to be seen whether Levis will return to this game.
