Sydney Sterlace (4-CHAIR TURN)
Age: 15
Hometown: Buffalo, NY
Resident: Buffalo, NY

Despite being the only musician in her family, Sydney has always had full support throughout her journey. It all started with participating in local talent shows when she was seven years old, and by the time she was ten, she had already struck gold by winning first place at the Erie County Fair Talent Competition. She has since maintained that momentum, singing the national anthem at a Buffalo Sabers game this year and at several Buffalo Bisons games. She also performed regularly at a local musical arts festival organized by Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls. Her dedicated mother has played a crucial role in Sydney's success, including finding singing opportunities on social media and finding local competitions for Sydney to enter. Sydney recently won a TikTok challenge sponsored by Broadway Evolved. Sydney wasn't sure if the competition was real and didn't think it would lead to anything. She was overwhelmed when she won. She was flown to New York for an all-expenses paid, week-long Broadway intensive with Betsy Wolfe, an experience she will never forget.

Jan Dan (2-CHAIR TURN)
Age: 29
Hometown: Newark, NJ
Resident: Douglasville, GA

Jan Dan is a stage name derived from the first part of his first name, Najee, spelled backwards, and the first letters of his last name, Daniels. Jan Dan's mother Fundisha is a singer and songwriter. She signed a record deal with Jermaine Dupri's company So So Def and moved to Atlanta with Jan Dan and his siblings when he was just 10 years old. In addition to his mother, his uncle LaShawn was a Grammy-winning songwriter and producer and one of Jan Dan's biggest inspirations. Unfortunately, LaShawn died in a tragic car accident in 2019, which left Jan devastated. Although he loved music, Jan Dan was not ready to pursue music full-time after high school. He took the safer route and enrolled in culinary school. Over the years, he became more confident in his musical abilities and pushed aside fear. Remembering what his uncle told him before his death, Jan Dan shifted his focus to music to build on his family's legacy. He wrote, recorded and produced, sometimes even with his wife Nicole. They are expecting their first child soon and Jan Dan believes that this is the best time to fully pursue his passion.
