The blind auditions continue in the second week of “The Voice” season 26.

“The Voice” airs Monday, September 30, 2024, at 8 p.m. on NBC.

This season's coaches are Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé.

“The Voice” features five competition phases: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.

In blind auditions, the trainers can hear the contestant but cannot see them. Each coach tries to build a team of 14 singers. If a coach is impressed by an artist during an audition, he or she may turn his or her red chair to face the artist. If more than one coach selects the artist, the artist must decide who their coach should be. If no one presses their button, the artist is eliminated.

“This season also sees the return of Block, adding another layer of coaching competition during the Blind Auditions. Each coach's chair has an additional set of buttons with the names of the other three coaches on it, preventing a coach from adding a new artist to their team.

“Trainers are only allowed to use their block keys on one artist during the entire first round of the competition. The blocked bus doesn't realize it's blocked until he pushes his button, and even though his chair is still spinning, his lane lights up with “BLOCKED.” If the coach doesn’t push his button, the block is still available for another audition,” NBC said.

After auditions, coaches develop their artists and then have two of their own team members sing the same song together during battle rounds. The coach chooses the winner. Each coach has two steals available. After the combat rounds, each trainer has nine artists.

Viewer voting only begins at the live performance.

The winner of “The Voice” gets a record deal.
