The Detroit Lions announced Monday that they will wear their new black and blue jerseys on Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks.

The announcement all but confirmed that the alternate jerseys will make their debut this week.

“It’s on,” the team’s official X account posted Monday with a photo of the black uniform behind a shadow. The Lions introduced the black alternate jersey in 2005 and last wore it in 2007, but released a revised version this offseason.

The Lions released an all-new jersey set this year, including the black alternate set with blue lettering.

The Lions host the undefeated Seahawks on Monday night in prime time in Week 4 of the NFL season.

This is the fourth straight season the Lions and Seahawks have met, with Seattle holding a 3-0 record since Dan Campbell took over. Previous games have been high-profile games, including wins at Ford Field in back-to-back seasons, both in Week 2.
