Like the entire media and fan focus of the offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers are just one wide receiver away from putting an explosive offense on the field.

Aside from the fumble on the last play, George Pickens is doing his best to put the pass-catching game on his shoulder, but Van Jefferson hasn't contributed anything.

There's no way the Steelers can get through the rest of the 2024 season without a top-performing wideout if they want to be competitive down the home stretch.

Vinny Bonsignore, Raiders beat writer for the Las Vegas Review-Journal, tweeted this tidbit Tuesday afternoon:

More to come: A league source familiar with the situation confirmed that the Raiders are increasingly open to the idea of trading Davante Adams. The source said the club has begun contacting teams to gauge interest in the veteran wide receiver.

While Bonsignore did not reveal which teams the Raiders are contacting for trade talks, Pittsburgh said has to be among them. The biggest concern is that the Steelers have shown neither a willingness to part with draft picks nor provide the financial package needed to acquire top talent.

The Steelers aren't the only team with a need for a wide receiver. The Kansas City Chiefs have likely lost their No. 1 receiver, Rashee Rice, for the season. If Adams has the choice, the Super Bowl champion Chiefs are far more enticing.
