Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz recounted the moment his 17-year-old witnessed a shooting at a community center and said meeting the parents of Sandy Hook shooting victims changed his position on gun control. “Just because you have a mental health issue doesn't mean you're violent,” Walz said in response to Ohio Gov. JD Vance, saying mental health is partly to blame for the gun violence epidemic.
