Spirit Halloween is in the fighting spirit.

The store gained widespread traction in response to a “Saturday Night Live” sketch that aired last weekend during the show's 50th season premiere.

The skit was a fake Spirit Halloween commercial that featured Heidi Gardner, Chloe Fineman and Michael Longfellow as employees touting the chain as a cozy business that revitalizes communities. The skit then poked fun at the store for moving into abandoned storefronts (and then leaving after six weeks), selling imitation costumes, and hiring “perverts” for short-term jobs.

Spirit Halloween re-released the video, along with a caption that shows it can pack some punches too.

“We're great at bringing things back from the dead @nbcsnl,” it said on . The package says it contains “outdated references,” “unknown cast members” and “declining ratings.”

Spirit Halloween's post made fans laugh.

“I'm not going to lie: This was funnier than a lot of the sketches I've seen on 'SNL' recently. And I say that as a long-time fan of the show who still enjoys it for the most part,” someone wrote in the comments.

“Creepy laughter is the best kind! Glad to hear it brought some Halloween joy! Let's keep the fun going all season long! Spirit Halloween wrote in response to this comment.
