Bank of America customers reported having problems accessing their bank accounts on Wednesday.

According to the website Downdetector, reports of problems increased around 1 p.m. ET, when about 20,266 outages were reported.

People complain that their balance is not visible in the app, while others say that although they can access their account, they see a balance of $0.

“App not working and online banking shows yesterday’s account balance,” said a user on Downdetector.

“Both app and browser access to BoA remain at least partially disabled for us,” said another user. “I can now see some of our accounts, but not all. And the transfer between accounts feature still doesn’t work for all accounts.”

As of 3:37 p.m. ET, reports from Downdetector showed some improvement, with around 3,600 outages reported.

Bank of America did not immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for comment on Wednesday.
