Hurricane Milton continues to move off Florida's east coast after leaving severe flooding and wind damage in parts of Orange County. Officials are now working hard on rescue operations throughout the district.

A family of four was rescued from a home and taken to an emergency shelter by Orange County Fire Rescue.

Orange County Fire Rescue shared this video of the water rescue on its X account (formerly Twitter) Thursday morning.

This rescue took place on Hambleton Avenue in the Edgewater and Winter Park area.

Buck Road Rescue

The Orange County Fire Department and the Orange County Sheriff's Office headed to flooded streets in an Orlando neighborhood.

Crews checked every home in the area of ​​Riverdale Road and Buck Road as they were affected by severe flooding from Hurricane Milton.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office Emergency Response Team was conducting water rescue operations at a mobile home park near Rouse Road and Buck Road. According to officials, the crew walked through the mobile home neighborhood in chest-high water because none of the residents wanted to leave their homes.

Downtown Orlando

Strong winds ripped through downtown Orlando on Wednesday evening as Hurricane Milton moved across the state.

The strong winds caused damage, including a downed traffic light at the intersection of Orange and Church Streets.

Officials are still assessing the damage.
