Here are some frequently asked questions about the upcoming election:

When will I receive my ballot? The ballot papers will be sent to all active voters from October 11th to 18th, 2024.

When can I return my ballot? Once you receive your ballot, you can return it in the following ways:

1. Drop off your ballot at the Logan County Clerk & Recorder's Office at 315 Main St., Sterling, CO 80751, first floor, northwest corner of the courthouse, or

2. Drop off your ballot in the 24-hour drive-up drop box located in the courthouse parking lot (Ash Street entrance) on the east side of the parking lot (no postage required).

3. Sufficiently stamp the return envelope for your ballot and send it back by post.

Remember to allow enough time for your ballot to be delivered by mail. To be counted, all ballots must be returned to the Clerk and Recorder's office by Election Day, November 5, 2024, by 7:00 p.m.

Important dates for the 2024 general elections

Oct. 11 – 18, 2024: The ballot papers will be sent to all active voters.

Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024: Last day to submit an application to register to vote in a voter registration drive. (no later than 22 days before the election)

Monday, Oct. 28, 2024: Last day to submit a voter registration application and still receive a ballot in the mail (up to eight days before the election).

Monday, Oct. 28, 2024 – Tuesday, November 5, 2024: Voters may register to vote, receive a replacement ballot, or drop off their ballot in person at the Logan County Clerk & Recorder's Office at 315 Main Street, Suite 3, Sterling, CO 80751

Saturday, November 2, 2024: The Logan County Clerk and Recorder's Office Elections Division is open for ballot and replacement ballot drop-off from 8 a.m. to noon.

Tuesday, November 5, 2024: ELECTION DAY

Additional locations available on Election Day only:

Logan County Heritage Center, 821 N. Division Ave., Sterling – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m

BallotTrax is a free service for Logan County voters that allows you to track the status of your ballot online and receive notifications via text, phone or email when your ballot is mailed to you and received by our elections department.
