Jaguars 37-34 Colts (Oct. 6, 2024) Game Recap Keon Coleman's 49-yard TD catch comes at a crucial time for Bills

Two teams with their sights set on the Super Bowl will meet on Sunday in southern Ohio. But both the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals need to strengthen their defenses if they want to get out of a challenging division. The Ravens are the slight away favorite in this clash of rivals that have gotten off to a slow start to the season.

The Bengals secured their first win last week when they defeated the Panthers. Cincy scores like a playoff team (third in the AFC in total yards), but the defense allows 145.5 yards per game on the ground (last 10 in the NFL). Few teams can easily outscore their opponents, especially when the other side is pounding the ball and beating up the defensive unit.

Quarterback Joe Burrow has turned the Bengals franchise around since being selected No. 1 overall in 2020, but the Ravens have proven to be a tough proposition for the former LSU star. Burrow has a 3-4 lead against the Ravens.

The Ravens righted their ship by winning twice after an 0-2 start. But this division matchup will test their surprisingly shaky defense, which finally showed itself in an impressive 35-10 win over Buffalo last week.

The Bengals are allowing 26 points per game, which doesn't bode well for Lamar Jackson. Jackson has taken the lead at times over the past two weeks to give his team much-needed wins. Jackson managed a touchdown on the ground in each of the last two weeks and has handled the passing game with aplomb for the most part, with just one interception so far this season.
