The Reno Air Races are no longer taking place – competition begins next September over Roswell, New Mexico – but there's still excitement in the air at Reno Stead Airport this weekend. And that's just part of a pretty packed weekend – in Sparks, the Nugget is hosting its first Oktoberfest and Reno has an electronica-heavy lineup for the annual Off Beat Music Festival.

As for the weather, Reno-Sparks may see the last 90 degree days of the year this week, and there's a good chance we won't see high temperatures above 80 degrees after this weekend either. So you can get outside and enjoy one of the last weeks before the jacket weather sets in.
