British YouTuber Yung Filly has been extradited to Perth to face rape charges over alleged hotel attacks following a rap show

YouTuber and British rapper Yung Filly has been extradited from Queensland to Perth where he faces allegations he sexually assaulted a woman in a hotel room, hours after performing a show at a Hillarys nightclub.

Washington police have charged the 29-year-old rapper, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, with sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman on September 28 after a show at Bar1.

Detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit traveled to Brisbane on Wednesday to extradite the musician, who had performed at Havana Nightclub two days earlier.

Barrientos was charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault and obstructing a person's normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to the neck.

He is due to face Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The allegations do not indicate that the allegations have been proven. The defendant is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Hillarys event was marketed as the “ultimate evening escapade” where ticket holders could see the British-born personality.

“The event promises to be a seamless blend of spontaneity, humor and music that will have you talking for weeks!” reads an advertisement on the ticket sales platform MoshTix.

The rapper launched his musical career in 2017 and launched his YouTube career in 2013 – he was a regular contributor to the British online collective Beta Squad and previously worked with the group Sidemen.

His songs have attracted more than 10 million streams on Spotify and he collaborated with fellow British rapper Aitch on his song Gray, with the music video having been viewed more than 2.5 million times.

His online success has seen the 29-year-old host several shows on the BBC network – including dating show Hot Property, which ran for three seasons, and his show Yung Filly's Celeb Lock-In.

He also appeared on Channel 4's The Great Celebrity Bake Off.

He uses his huge social media following – more than six million fans on TikTok and Instagram alone – to share countless modeling images sponsored by several fashion companies, including online fashion giant ASOS.

His social media pages also show that he has attended swanky VIP events, including the Las Vegas Grand Prix sponsored by gaming company EASports F1, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as a guest of Red Bull Racing and hosting the British music event MOBO Awards.

It has also been endorsed by major brands such as McDonald's, British fashion chain Primark and Captain Morgan Rum.
