The Boston Bruins open the 2024-25 NHL season on Tuesday night in a rivalry matchup from the start.

Boston visits the Florida Panthers, who will be celebrating their Stanley Cup title from last season. The Panthers eliminated the Bruins in the last two postseasons as eventual Eastern Conference champions.

The Bruins released their opening roster on Monday to set up play on Tuesday. That roster now includes Jeremy Swayman, Boston's star goaltender, after he finally reached a long-term contract extension with the Bruins just days before the season.
