A Frost warning applies to western Montana until 8 a.m. Tuesday.

There will be areas of frost again tonight as low temperatures will be in the 30s in many locations. Some places may also experience frost tonight. Therefore, be sure to take the necessary precautions to protect any delicate vegetation you may have. Skies will continue to be mostly clear this evening, with cloud cover increasing throughout the night. Gusty winds are also expected along the Rocky Mountain Front tonight as wind gusts up to 40 mph are possible, and some areas east of the Rocky Mountain Front will become windy (sustained winds of 10 to 20 mph), depending closer we get sunrise.

Skies will be partly cloudy tomorrow as a warm front moves through our area. A few isolated showers are possible tomorrow, but most places will remain dry. Additionally, tomorrow will be warmer than today as high temperatures will be in the 70s in most locations. We will also have gusty winds tomorrow in locations east of the Rocky Mountain Front as sustained wind speeds will be between 10 and 30 mph and gusts over 40 mph are possible. Tomorrow will be windy along the Rocky Mountain Front as sustained wind speeds will be between 20 and 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible.

Wednesday will see partly to mostly sunny skies with a few isolated showers as a disturbance moves through our area. Additionally, Wednesday will be cooler than tomorrow as highs will be in the low to mid 60s in most locations. We will also have gusty winds in the Helena area, central Montana and along the Rocky Mountain Front on Wednesday as sustained wind speeds will be between 10 and 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph possible.

Then on Thursday and Friday we will have mostly sunny skies and mostly dry conditions as high pressure will dominate our weather. Temperatures will also warm up a bit over these two days as highs will be in the mid to upper 60s on Thursday and mid to upper 70s and low 80s on Friday. Friday will also be windy as sustained wind speeds will be between 10 and 25 mph.

We will have nice weather for the first weekend of October as we will have plenty of sunshine, dry conditions and mild temperatures as highs will be in the mid to upper 60s on Saturday and low to mid 70s on Sunday. We will also have gusty winds this weekend as sustained wind speeds will be between 10 and 30 mph with the strongest winds expected on Saturday.
