ESPN's latest college football rankings are here after the network updated its FPI Top 25 following Week 6 of the season.

If you watched college football this weekend, there's a good chance you saw a surprise or two. Or maybe even much more. Damn, Miami felt like the only AP top 10 team to avoid it!

After the sixth week of action, let's dive into ESPN's new FPI rankings.

Texas sat back and watched the chaos on Saturday. The Longhorns had a bye week, so now they will be fully focused on Oklahoma.

Quinn Ewers is expected to be back from injury for Red River. But if there's a chance he can't go, Arch Manning is a known commodity at that point. No change in Texas' FPI rankings.

Ohio State once again took care of business. Stop us if you've heard this before! A 35-7 win over the Hawkeyes moved Ohio State up another spot in the FPI.

How do you stop this team? It appears the Buckeyes are unstoppable on both sides of the ball and are the clear favorites in the Big Ten.

The Crimson Tide were stunned on the road at Vanderbilt, so ESPN's FPI gave them a spot. It was a close game, but Vandy did enough to never really let the Crimson Tide back into the game.

Beat Georgia one week and lose to Vanderbilt the next. College football man. South Carolina comes to town next week.

Speaking of Georgia, the Bulldogs bounced back with a win over Auburn, although not very early. But UGA managed a 31-13 victory to shake off the loss at Alabama.

They haven't moved in the FPI this week, but things are getting a lot more interesting in the SEC now that these two each have a loss. Everyone's looking at Texas!

Ole Miss was upset last week but bounced back with a 27-3 road win over South Carolina. It was a good game for the Rebels and they moved up one place in the FPI.

Jaxson Dart didn't throw a touchdown in the game, but the Rebels managed three on the ground. Henry Parrish Jr. ran for 81 yards and a score and JJ Pegues had two runs for two yards and, you guessed it, two touchdowns.

Another surprise! Tennessee went to Arkansas on the road and there was a questionable play that saw Nico Iamaleava go wide on the final play. But that's what happened, well, it is what it is.

The Volunteers were in seventh heaven all season long. Now it's back to reality and it's time to regroup. Still, the Vols only lost one spot in the FPI.

The Fighting Irish escaped the weekend of chaos with a bye week. Luckily for them, this didn't result in any movement in the ESPN FPI rankings.

Next up is a home game against Stanford, and as shown earlier this year, the Irish can't take anyone lightly. But Notre Dame doesn't have an AP ranked team until USC at the end of the year.

Oregon took care of business Friday night against Michigan State and it was the fourth straight game to score more than 30 points. The Ducks remained undefeated and moved up one spot in the FPI.

Now it's time for the big event next weekend. Oregon hosts Ohio State in something of a preview of the Big Ten title game this winter.

Penn State controlled the game against UCLA with a 27-11 win. Don't let the final result fool you, this one wasn't particularly close.

However, due to Oreogn's dominant win, they lost a place in the FPI. Still, this is an undefeated top-10 team heading to USC next week.

Miami took the win and did not move in the FPI rankings. But the Hurricanes escaped the upset at Cal after it hosted College GameDay.

A deficit of 20 in the last 10 minutes is of course not ideal. But that's exactly why this team is special in the first half of the season. The Canes remained flawless.
