The Denver Broncos brought themselves to a 3-2 record with a win against them Las Vegas Raiderswho came to the Mile High City hoping to extend their winning streak to nine games. The Broncos took advantage of this opportunity and won 34-18.

It wasn't a consistent game for the Broncos, especially on offense, but they found a way to pull it off in the second half and walked away with the win.

Both units produced some great moments, but there were also many exceptional individual performances and the player grades reflected this. This week was one of the highest marks I've given in recent years as several players almost literally turned this team on its head to lead the Broncos to victory.

It was a terrible start for Nix, who looked uncomfortable and unsure on the field. He made questionable readings, failing to read pre-snap pressure, adjust his blocking or call out blockers.

However, Nix recovered significantly by becoming more comfortable and reading the ball better. Best of all, the rookie showed it some fire on the sidelines by talking to Sean Payton about a play changed by Nix that ultimately led to a dropped touchdown by his college teammate Troy Franklin.

It's been a great two weeks for Williams after being one of the worst running backs in the NFL through the first three weeks of the season. He has impacted the Broncos' offense as a runner, receiver and blocker.

The Broncos will need him to keep it up if they want to make a serious push into the playoffs. McLaughlin is quick and impulsive, but left yards with questionable vision on the field on some of his runs.

Humphrey and Sutton have built chemistry between Nix and Nix and that is reflected in their performances in games. There are still timing issues, but they are being worked on.

As for Reynolds, he wasn't what the Broncos wanted. The chemistry between him and Nix doesn't seem to be right, and his commitment remains questionable.

The Broncos need a playmaker at that position. Trautman did well as a blocker while Adkins struggled, but neither she nor Lucas Krull give the Broncos the receiving depth they need.

This was one of Bolles' better games in his career. He didn't allow a single pressure, did an excellent job in the running game and his only penalty against him was wrong.

Peart did well filling in for Palczewski who sustained an injury, which was pleasing as he had struggled in an extremely tough match against Maxx Crosby in this game.

This was a game for Powers that many expected from him when the Broncos signed him, so hopefully he can maintain this high level of play. Wattenberg did well in some difficult encounters, winning slightly more than he lost before getting injured.

Meinerz started the game rough, but he found his groove and finished the game solidly despite injuries on both sides.

The Broncos' defensive line performed well overall. They weren't consistent enough to start the game, but they found their rhythm and started playing consistently as a unit.

Allen is the leader of the room and opens the door for everyone else. Roach was a great find with his play under center and showed more as a pass rusher than anyone expected. Franklin-Myers and Jones were the most inconsistent players of the group, but both had quality play.

Cooper has started the season well and the Broncos need to reward him with a sizeable contract extension soon. As a pass rusher or run defender, he was the most consistent player in the room.

Bonitto is still a successful pass rusher, but his run defense remains problematic, with few good plays outweighing the overwhelming bad plays. Elliss had a great block on an interception return that should have the Broncos moving him to tight end as it was better than anything the Broncos had gotten out of that position. All joking aside, Elliss struggled defensively as a pass rusher and run defender.

The Broncos defense hasn't missed a beat since Alex Singleton was injured and Strnad replaced him. In fact, one could easily say they were even better, although the sample size is still relatively small. Barton had a difficult game against the Raiders, showing more issues in coverage while lacking consistency against the run.

What is there to say about Surtain? He had a phenomenal game and the best corner game for the Broncos since Champ Bailey.

Moss has developed into a good corner opposite Surtain, who is coping well with the extra attention he is getting. With an excellent interception, Moss finally made an opposing quarterback pay. McMillian was a little rough, but faced some tough duels in coverage and did well against the run for the most part.

Aside from the big catch-and-run touchdown he gave up on the Raiders' first drive, there were some questionable plays from Locke. There was another play in coverage where he was in the right position and broke up the pass.

Overall, Locke's grade was greatly affected by the first touchdown catch he gave up. Jones was consistent in all phases, as he has been all season.
