Elon Musk calls 2024 a 'must-win situation' for free speech and promotes Trump's character after he was 'under fire'

Elon Musk stood behind bulletproof glass as he addressed a packed crowd of Trump rally attendees in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday evening.

“The true test of a person’s character is how they behave under fire,” he said, donning a dark “MAGA” hat and a T-shirt that read “Occupy Mars.”

“We had a president who couldn’t climb the stairs and another who flailed after being shot,” he continued. “America is the home of the brave, and there is no test more severe than courage under fire. So who should represent America?”

The crowd erupted, waving signs reading “Never Surrender” and “Fight, Fight, Fight” backstage.

The multi-billionaire business tycoon accompanied former President Trump on stage in his first return to Butler since he was assassinated there just twelve weeks earlier by 20-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks.

Musk, a strong supporter of free speech, warned that the Nov. 5 face-off between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris next month would be the “most important election of our lifetime,” in which fundamental freedoms that are the bedrock of democracy will be upheld. are at stake.

“This is a must-win situation,” he told the 60,000-strong crowd.

“This is no ordinary election. The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech. They want to take away your right to bear arms. They want to take away your right to vote effectively. You now have 14 states that do this. “I don’t need a voter ID. California, where I used to live, just passed a law banning voter ID to vote. So how can one conduct a good, proper election when there is no ID? It's meaningless.

Musk turned the Trump base's slogan “Fight, Fight, Fight” into a call to action – “Vote, Vote, Vote” – a chant expressing his pressure on those in attendance “be a nuisance” by repeatedly telling others to go out, register and vote.

“If there's one takeaway that's significant, it's getting those registrations and then and then getting everyone to actually vote. That will decide this election, particularly in Pennsylvania,” he added.
