Fans believe Taylor Swift sent a secret message to Travis Kelce on National Boyfriend Day with a new merch drop

Taylor Swift fans think she gave her boyfriend Travis Kelce a not-so-subtle nod on National Boyfriend Day.

On Thursday, the pop star released her merch collection, “Greatest In the League,” inspired by a line from her song “The Alchemy,” which is rumored to be about her romance with the Kansas City Chiefs player.

The collection in question includes several styles of sweatshirts and sweatpants featuring their “Tortured Poets Department” logo and in the album's color palette of black, white, beige and gray.

After Taylor Nation announced the drop at X, fans quickly put two and two together.

“Taylor Swift has decided to release 'The Greatest in the League' merch collection today, National Boyfriend Day,” one user pointed out.

“Literally only Taylor would release a 'best in the league' collection on National BF Day when her BF's team is currently 4-0,” another person tweeted.

“Taylor releases the best merch collection in the league on National Boyfriend Day and the weekend of her boyfriend’s birthday??? Oh Taycomedian,” chimed in a third.

“And she calls it 'the greatest thing in the league,' after the 'he's washed' claims that she's actually the funniest person ever,” someone else added, referencing the backlash over Kelce's slow start to the season 2024 NFL season.

Others, meanwhile, said the merch was Swift's way of “putting an end to breakup rumors.”

People began speculating about the couple's relationship status after Swift skipped Kelce's last two football games – which were in Atlanta and Los Angeles, respectively.

Her absence raised eyebrows as she attended Kelce's first two games of the season at Arrowhead Stadium.

However, insiders later told Page Six that Swift's no-show wasn't a sign of trouble in paradise.

A source tells Us that the “Fortnight” singer's schedule has expanded in recent weeks as she prepares to restart her Eras Tour, which begins again on October 18 in Miami.

Swift completed the European leg of her international tour in August.

We're also told there were some security concerns about Swift attending Kelce's games at opposing teams' stadiums – particularly after her appearances in Vienna were canceled due to a terror threat.

“If she goes somewhere that isn’t Arrowhead, there are safety concerns,” a source told us.

“She has worked with Arrowhead so many times that they feel comfortable and at ease. When you go to different stadiums, you have to send a team in advance.”

However, Swift, who has been dating Kelce since last summer, is rumored to be back in Missouri this weekend for the tight end's 35th birthday and Monday Night Football game.
