Country star Garth Brooks has been accused of raping and abusing a woman who claims she worked as his hairdresser and makeup artist.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday in a California court by a woman known only as “Jane Roe,” alleges that the Grammy-winning singer allegedly raped her in a hotel room where she was during a business trip I felt “trapped” and alone with Brooks.

In addition to sexual assault and battery, Brooks, 62, is also accused of repeatedly exposing his genitals and buttocks; talking about sex and sharing sexual fantasies with Roe; regularly changed his clothes in front of her; and sending her sexually explicit text messages, according to the complaint in the case, obtained by CNN.

The lawsuit alleges that these incidents occurred in 2019.

“We are confident that Brooks will be held accountable for his actions,” attorneys Douglas H. Wigdor, Jeanne M. Christensen and Hayley Baker said in a statement to CNN.

“We applaud our client’s courage in moving forward with her complaint against Garth Brooks. “The complaint filed today shows that sexual predators exist not only in corporate America, in Hollywood, and in the rap and rock and roll industries, but also in the world of country music.”

The woman who filed the lawsuit said she was first hired as a hair and makeup artist for Brooks' wife, Trisha Yearwood, in 1999, but was transferred to Brooks' team in 2017, the lawsuit says.

In her filing, Roe accused the “Friends in Low Places” singer of raping her in a hotel room after the couple traveled alone on their private jet to Los Angeles for a Grammy recording in May 2019, claiming the country music star Star “appeared in the doorway.” into the bedroom, completely naked,” which made her feel “trapped in the room alone with Brooks.”

“There were usually others on Brooks' private jet, but this time Ms. Roe and Brooks were the only two passengers,” the complaint states.

After the alleged rape, Roe said Brooks physically groped her and made “repeated comments” about having “a threesome” with his wife, the filing said.

According to CNN, in another alleged incident, Roe also accused Brooks of getting out of the shower naked while the couple were working at his home, grabbing her hands and pressing them on his genitals while talking to him in a sexually explicit manner, according to CNN you spoke.

Brooks previously denied his accuser's allegations and tried to prevent Roe from publicly repeating her allegations, according to a previous complaint he filed as “John Doe,” CNN reported.

Brooks claimed Roe's attorney sent him a “confidential” warning letter alleging sexual misconduct after he denied her request for “employment and medical benefits,” CNN reported.

“Defendant's allegations are untrue,” Brooks' earlier lawsuit states.

“The defendant, however, recognizes the significant, irreparable harm that such false allegations would cause to the plaintiff’s well-deserved reputation as a decent and caring human being, along with the inevitable harm to his family and the irreparable harm to his career and livelihood.” This is what would happen if she followed through on her threat to “publicly file” her fabricated lawsuit.

Roe's lawyers told CNN that Brooks' preemptive complaint was an act of desperation to intimidate and silence Roe.
