Grey's Anatomy Season 21, Episode 2: How to watch the new episode for free

The new season begins following the season 20 finale, when Dr. Meredith Gray (Ellen Pompeo) left Gray Sloan Memorial Hospital to continue her Alzheimer's research and several employees were laid off, including Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone), Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) and Chief of Surgery Teddy Altman (Kim Raver ). Catherine Fox (Debbie Allen) argues with Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), who advocates for the interns.

According to ABC, Kali Rocha as Sydney Heron and Jesse Williams as Catherine's son Jackson Avery will also return this season.

For those unfamiliar with the series, Grey's Anatomy is a high-intensity medical drama that follows a team of doctors at Gray Sloan Memorial Hospital who face life-or-death decisions every day. They seek comfort from each other and sometimes more than just friendship. Together they discover that neither medicine nor relationships can be defined in black and white.

In the second episode, “Meredith and Catherine continue to disagree and Meredith turns to Bailey for support. Richard, Winston and Lucas spend the day outside the hospital, Blue deals with a relationship from his past and Levi meets the new hospital chaplain.”
