Pesquisa boca de urna: leveramentos não serão realizados nesta eleição Dallas Cowboys vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, how to watch, start time and more

As is often the case during NHL contract negotiations, Jeremy Swayman and the Bruins experienced a little drama before finding common ground.

Speaking to the media last Monday, team president Cam Neely stated that Boston offered Swayman a contract worth $64 million. Hours later, the goalie's agent, Lewis Gross, released a statement refuting Neely's claim.

Swayman spoke about the back-and-forth on Sunday morning, not long after signing an eight-year, $66 million contract with the Black and Gold.

“Lewis has been incredible throughout this entire process,” Swayman told reporters, as seen on NESN. “It just shows what he would do to really protect me as his client and how he goes out of his way and makes sure everyone knows that some allegations are true and others are false. It is not necessarily my job – here and now – – To give you this answer, our party and our team know the truth. At the same time, we reached an agreement and the fact that I could be here for eight years is all I have. It is important for us to move forward and win for this organization.

Excitement was the feeling that stood out most to Swayman after earning the first big contract of his young NHL career. That was easy to understand, as the 25-year-old is now one of the highest-paid goalkeepers in the league and will continue to play for one of the sport's most storied franchises.
