Jennifer Aniston performed Jimmy Kimmel Live Last night I took the opportunity to remember working with Kris Kristofferson, who passed away last weekend. The actress shared how she found the singer-actor's cast for a short film titled ” Room 10.

“I was actually lucky enough to direct my first short film and when we asked him, surprisingly, he said yes,” Aniston told Kimmel. “Him and Robin Wright. And it was one of the most extraordinary experiences I’ve ever had.”

She added that she had Kristofferson in mind for the role. “It was an older man who lost his wife at that time,” the actress said. “He was just an older man saying goodbye to his wife on her last and final day in the hospital and he broke our hearts. He was truly extraordinary. And what a kind man.”

Aniston later appeared alongside Kristofferson He's just not that into youplays her character's father. “He came to my 40th birthday party,” Aniston said of their friendship in the film. “He and his wife flew in. He was a lovely man and it is a great loss.”

Kimmel asked Aniston if it was true that Kristofferson was also a fan Friends. “Yes,” Aniston confirmed. “Because when we made the call, his wife had actually mentioned that they had just been binge-watching Friends…So I was so excited to meet him, and then he kind of watched me Friends and we both had that moment. It was enchanting.”

Instead, she followed the band to their hotel after their performance Saturday Night Live Perfomance. “They never showed up,” the actress said. “But that’s what you can do as a 12-year-old in the 80s. Your mother will let you know to get out until Duran Duran shows up.”
