Warning: This article contains spoilers from Agatha all the time Episode 5, “Darkest Hour, Wake Thy Power.”

No more witch seals. Agatha all the time finally reveals the secret behind Joe Locke's Teen.

Five episodes into the season, the coven comes to its third trial on Witch Road, a Ouija challenge involving ghosts and possession that results in Kathryn Hahn's Agatha Harkness killing Alice (Ali Ahn) by absorbing her magic. In the heated episode, when Teen confronts Agatha about her latest victim, she is able to learn more about her “pet,” saying, “You're so much like your mother.”

An angry teenager then reveals that he is not as powerless as he originally seemed. His mind controls Lilia (Patti LuPone) and Jen (Sasheer Zamata) to drown Agatha in the sinking mud before throwing her into the mud too. The final shot of the episode shows a blue crown materializing on his head, bearing a striking resemblance to the scarlet crown once worn by Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff.

Then we hear a telling pinprick as the credits begin: “You Should See Me in a Crown,” a song by Billie Eilish…emphasis on Billie.

It seems to be one of those “worst kept secrets”. Marvel fans assumed early on that Teen was actually Billy, Wanda's son, and that's what's leaked Agatha all the time supported this theory. It's a similar situation that Hahn found himself in WandaVision. When she debuted as nosy neighbor Agnes, the fan base had a strong inkling that she was actually the witch Agatha Harkness, a revelation that came with an Emmy-winning song that now tops the charts.

Still, as showrunner Jac Schaeffer previously said Weekly entertainment All teen theories are not about the destination, but about the journey. “It’s about how we peel back the layers,” she said. “It is our job to make the revelations exciting and satisfying. Now when I see the theories, I still get a little nervous, but I have the experience of it.” WandaVisiona voice in my head that says, “Well, no one knows.” How.'” We’re finally at a point in the series where we understand the how.

Wonder

The lore surrounding Billy Kaplan in Marvel Comics is a bit confusing if you think about it too closely. On the surface, the backstory looks simple. Billy was born to parents Jeff and Rebecca Kaplan. He was bullied at school for his homosexuality, but one day he had a chance encounter with the Scarlet Witch, who encouraged the boy to stand up for himself. Billy did just that, but when he fought back, the teenager's immense magical powers were released and he almost killed his attacker.

Here's the complicated part: Billy is the living reincarnation of the son of the Scarlet Witch, one of the twins that Wanda Maximoff magically creates along with his brother Tommy in the comics. The children were destroyed when the demon Mephisto appeared – another character fans would like to see Agatha all the time – revealed that they were merely an extension of his own energy before he absorbed the children back into himself. (That's what we mean by a head scratcher.)

Her two sons were reincarnated, and Billy became an extremely powerful wizard like his mother. Under the name Wiccan, he joins the Young Avengers superteam and has a long-term romantic relationship with a member of their ranks, the shape-shifting Skrull strongman Teddy Altman, also known as Hulkling.

Miracle (2)

As we've seen with previous projects, the Marvel Cinematic Universe remixes comic material to bring audiences new stories.

While WandaVisionWe know that Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) used her reality-altering powers to resurrect Vision (Paul Bettany) and cast a spell over the entire town of Westview so they could move on with their lives safely, but in a world that mirrored Wanda's favorite television -Sitcoms. Part of that magic involved the creation of two children. Tommy (Jett Klyne) developed super speed, which was the ability of his late uncle Pietro (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). His brother Billy (Julian Hilliard) displayed similar powers to his mother at the time, although his magic appeared blue compared to Wanda's red.

When the boys were 13, Wanda lifted the curse on Westview, meaning Vision, Tommy and Billy all disappeared with him. Three years later, in the sequel series timeline Agatha all the timewe meet Locke's teen.

Wanda cursed Hahn's Agatha to spend her days living out her own distorted reality as Agnes, until a young gothic horror enthusiast shows up to free the witch with an incantation. We didn't know much about him because someone cast a seal – a kind of protective spell that prevents Agatha from hearing any information the teenager reveals about herself. However, we were able to find out that he was “originally” born in the neighboring town of Eastview (that specific wording seems to be intentional) and that “a lot happened” to him when he was 13, the same age as the original Billy when Wanda was made into a film about him, by lifting the curse.

When Agatha didn't know his true identity, Teen claimed he wanted to cross the Witch Road to gain power. Now we have to wonder if his true intention is to resurrect his mother Wanda, who supposedly died when the Darkhold Temple collapsed on her Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. (Show us a corpse, dammit!) Power just seems like too easy an answer when he can supposedly already break a spell the Scarlet Witch cast on Agatha.

We are looking forward to the Young Avengers

The Young Avengers of Marvel Comics.

There's still a lot more to learn about this teenager, but the MCU continues to prepare for the introduction of the Young Avengers, a group of younger heroes, most of whom are connected to a core member of the main Avengers team.

The end of 2023 The miracles featured young Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) trying her best to impersonate Nick Fury in order to recruit Hawkeye protégé Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) into a new team of young superheroes. Previously, the MCU introduced a number of characters who happen to be members of the Young Avengers in the comics: Elijah Richardson played Eli Bradley, the grandson of super soldier Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly). The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021); Jack Veal played the Kid Loki version Loki (2021); Xochitl Gomez played the multiverse-hopping America Chavez Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022); Kathryn Newton played the size-changing Cassie Lang, Ant-Man's teenage daughter Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023); and now we have Locke as Billy/Wicca.

Maybe we already have Teddy/Hulkling. In episode 2 of Agatha all the timeBilly receives a call from his “boyf” and the contact photo on his phone's lock screen shows actor Miles Gutierrez-Riley in the role. Details on this character are still unknown, but a Hulkling reveal would at least be consistent with who Billy is dating in the comics.

Agatha all the time continues to air Wednesday nights on Disney+, and the same goes for the theories.
